Yogi Da Dhaba
This place serves up some of the best curries in Melbourne. Its reasonably priced, service is quick and attentive, and the food is absolutely delicious. Its hard to survive as an Indian restaurant in this particular stretch up the top of Lygon Street in Brunswick, as there are quite a few good restaurants serving Indian, some being reasonably-priced and some are just ridiculously cheap.
But you get what you pay for, and I say, get it at Yogi’s! They have survived there for several years for a damn good reason. The range of options is broad, but not so many that you can’t choose, there are some great Chef’s specials, and their vegetable pakoras are flat-out the best in Australia. Yes, its a broad claim, but I do honestly know this to be true, I have tried them everywhere else that I’ve been (which is almost everywhere, I haven’t made it to the NT yet but almost - Mt Isa is pretty close!).
So get yourselves to Yogi Da Dhaba on Lygon St, East Brunswick (just north of Brunswick Road) and enjoy a feast of deliciousness. I’ll be the one already in the corner with a big grin on my face after polishing off a plate of lamb bhuna or chicken tikka murg pudina. YUM.
Every time I try to review somewhere good, it won’t let me. If a place can’t be reviewed, how will anyone ever know how great it is?!?!?
